Instrument Rental Flyer

We are now enrolling students who wish to participate in the school instrumental music program. As you may know:

¯ A child who learns to play an instrument learns discipline and cooperation with others.

¯ Music provides an opportunity for your child to be engaged in fun, fulfilling, and constructive activities.

¯ In addition, studies have shown that children involved in instrumental music attain greater levels of academic achievement.

Renting an Instrument:

In order to get started in the program, your child will need an instrument.

¯ Please be aware that you are free to obtain an instrument from a source of your choice. However, make sure that it is a good quality instrument in proper playing condition. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the band director, Mr. Flowers at eflowers@jtasd.org, or 570-732-1818.

¯ Zeswitz instruments are approved by Mr. Flowers. Zeswitz Music delivers instruments directly to our schools and visits our schools on a weekly basis to take care of any service or repair needs (all incidental service and repair is included). All rental payments can apply toward purchasing the rented instrument. In addition, under the guidance of the music instructor, students can switch to another instrument at any time during their rental.

¯ Zeswitz is our most trusted provider of rental instruments for both excellent service and competitive prices.

You can make arrangements to rent an instrument from Zeswitz by registering online at www.zeswitzmusic.com/rent. Registering online will streamline the application process and will help ensure that your child receives an instrument in a timely fashion.  When you order the instrument, please also order the Ed Sueta Book 1 for that instrument.  If you already own an instrument, or purchase it elsewhere, please make sure to order the lesson book, and to have your child wait for the first lesson for instrument assembly and care instructions.

All instruments and lesson books must be available for the first 30-minute lesson during the week of Monday, October 17th in order to join Beginner Band.
