Free breakfast and lunch Summer Feeding program for any person 18 or under! Please see the Jim Thorpe Area S.D. website for more information and to register. The deadline to register for next week's program is today, Wednesday, June 10.

The Jim Thorpe Area School District School Board has an opening for a Board Member. Please submit your letter of interest to the Superintendent (robert.presley@jtasd.org) by Friday, June 26, 2026.

Good morning! If you signed up last week for the free summer feeding program, the first pick up day is today. If you chose the P.K. Campus site, the food will be handed out behind the building at from 11:00 to 12:00 today and Thursday. The high school site will be handing out their food from 2:00 to 3:00 at the main entrance of the high school. Please remember that you need to register for the free summer feeding program by Wednesday night to be eligible for the following week's deliveries that will occur every Monday and Thursday. There is no school for students on Wednesday, August 18, 2026 due to a staff professional development day.

This is a reminder that Kindergarten registration for the 26-27 school year will be on March 2 & 3 at L.B. Morris and March 4 & 5 at P K. Campus. An email with the registration information has also been sent to all District staff and families for you to review. The January 26, 2026 snow day will be made up on April 1, 2026. The current days off for President's Weekend will remain unchanged.

The Jim Thorpe Area School District will now be in session on Monday, January 19, due to it being a snow make up day. All students are expected to be in attendance.

This is a reminder to all parents and guardians that the Jim Thorpe Area School District offers free breakfast and lunch to all of its students regardless of family income. We hope that you will take advantage of these free meals and the benefits they provide to our students and their families. Please see your email for a flyer regarding the free meals.

In accordance with Pennsylvania Act 44, there is a notification sent to all parent and staff emails associated with Jim Thorpe Area High School. It was determined that a student possessed a pocket knife in a bookbag yesterday. There was no threat made towards any student or staff, and the proper procedures have been followed in regards to the student misconduct. Please see the Act 44 letter sent to your emails for the complete information.

Please check your staff or parent emails or the District website for an important letter regarding ACT 44 of 2025 that places new requirements on school districts for the reporting of weapons found in schools, on school transportation, or at school activities.
